@jess_carilli yep! “Haven’t you had enough fun postdocing? It’s really time to take that faculty job and settle down”. um, yes mom.

@distribecology @ethanwhite Ecologgers wont adopt shiny new things. I’ve seen the same folks post there for 15+ years.

@distribecology and scrolling through the digest with the poorly quoted email is a nightmare.

@shaenasaurus and cite alongside refs for the more substantial ones.

via Tweetbot for Mac in reply to shaenasaurus

@shaenasaurus I suppose you could go either way. I do both (sometimes in same article). Inline for less important stuff. 1/2

via Tweetbot for Mac in reply to shaenasaurus

@shaenasaurus Can’t you just cite the web page itself? bit.ly/VGtq7z see ref 10.

@eperlste You’ll be ok. No drunk dialing or standing outside academia’s bedroom window holding a boombox.

@Protohedgehog Don’t you mean right now? All those clubs should have the word “novelty” written on them.

@gvwilson Worked well on Chrome for me. Firefox had problems early on but author claims they’ve been fixed.

Unsolicited praise for an article I’m writing in the open from a journal editor. With an invitation to submit. +1 for open science.

@hadleywickham Looks great! and before I could even clone and send a pull request! ;)

@hadleywickham The toc on the wiki home page could be transferred to _Sidebar.md and that would make it available on all pages.

Developing and maintaining a book as a dynamic doc even after pub is a pretty awesome usecase for the @github wiki

@hadleywickham Looking forward to grabbing a copy as soon as it’s out!

via Tweetbot for Mac in reply to hadleywickham

@hadleywickham Is this the book that existed as the devtools wiki?

via Tweetbot for Mac in reply to hadleywickham

@hadleywickham I just read his book but forgot that he’s a prolific blogger. Thanks for the ↬ on this post. What book are you working on?
