@ficaryl Academia. You have two cows with just enough food. Both cows hire a dozen other cows w/ grand promises of future pasture.

@JacquelynGill Twice today (over email) I got ma’am. Guessing they couldn’t figure it out with ethnic sounding name.

@researchremix I use it as a catch-all for misc. things i find on the web. But for plain text notes, nothing beats simple-note.

via Tweetbot for Mac in reply to researchremix

@researchremix Why not Evernote? That’s the only focus of the company and they do it really well.

@msanclem bummed I didn’t buy much gear this year. I’ll be getting a :( dividend.

@LizNeeley if you had a bad shutdown, it's running a disk utility check / repair and can take this long. Is the progress bar moving?

via Tweetbot for iOS in reply to LizNeeley

@jasonpriem exactly! All the pieces are already in place.

via Tweetbot for iOS in reply to jasonpriem

@ekansa @jasonpriem yep. Git is setup to be distributed so its easy to use both GitHub and institutions as remote hosts. Journals should too

via Tweetbot for iOS in reply to ekansa

@jasonpriem and journal ensures repo longevity. Anyone can fork and build upon. Contributions/corrections come as pull requests.

via Tweetbot for iOS in reply to jasonpriem

@jasonpriem I've been thinking along similar lines. Journals are Git organizations. Journals fork author repos. Final article is a tag.
