@rvidal @tpoi and you are replying to a conversation that you're not a part of. Talk about wasting time...

@tpoi Instead of mendelete, purge library, then fill it with 2k random articles. Good times for the recommender engine.

@matthewmccull many congrats to you and your family Matthew!

@Dr_Bik @carlystrasser @recology_ git is really the best way. Use any non-binary format to write (including LaTeX, markdown, plain txt).

@carlystrasser Marked is another great app. Just edit in any editor and Marked will show you the preview with each save.

via Tweetbot for Mac in reply to carlystrasser

@carlystrasser I can show you my workflow sometime. But even if you stick with LaTeX, why a clunky web editor?

via Tweetbot for Mac in reply to carlystrasser

@carlystrasser Couldn’t you just write locally and have those files on Dropobox? Markdown is easier + more readable for d2d stuff.

@adaptive_plant hah, I just discovered the standalone version a few minutes ago. Currently moving my Mendeley lib over!

@phdpqc I’ll be taking the machine learning class later this month. Looking forward to it!

@pathogenomenick @BioMickWatson Yeah it’s easy but use a more ethical domain registrar, not godaddy.

@carlystrasser @jasonpriem The devil has a great API but the rate limits are a bitch.

@AmanQA Glad you made it. Hope it was useful. Happy to answer any questions.

@ethanwhite Just tested it locally, worked for me.

via Tweetbot for Mac in reply to ethanwhite

@ethanwhite You need to wrap the long cells at some character limit. markdown is limited (unlike latex) . bit.ly/XsostD

via Tweetbot for Mac in reply to ethanwhite

@ethanwhite Got it. It’s a markdown problem that pandoc cannot fix. How are you reading the tables in? I have a solution.

via Tweetbot for Mac in reply to ethanwhite

@ethanwhite The tables don’t respect the 1” margin set i the .sty file?

via Tweetbot for Mac in reply to ethanwhite

@adaptive_plant Because I don’t want to use my reference manager through a browser (and Firefox).

via Tweetbot for Mac in reply to adaptive_plant

@ethanwhite put the margin info in a .sty file and use the -H option.

Pandoc -H margins.sty ...
